Tell our Senators and State Representatives how important your childcare is to you.  They need to hear it.  In a recent Illinois Senate vote to amend Illinois’ FY13 budget an increase in funding was only approved by a slim 10 votes, 34 Yeas to 24 Nays (on May 23, 2012 – http://ilga.gov/legislation/votehistory/97/senate/09700SB2455_05232012_004000T.pdf) .  Childcare funding, specifically the Child Care Assistance Program, is slated to lose $70 million in funding.

We believe in the power of play!

February 23, 2011

“Just playing?”  When you ask me what I did at school today, and I say, “I just played…” please don’t misunderstand me.  For, you see, I’m learning as I play.  I’m learning to enjoy and be successful in my work.  I’m preparing for tomorrow.  Today, I am a child and my work is play.  Poem by AnitaWadley, 1979
